On 29 Aug, 2018 after a great flood and onam, the school reopened. The day was a holiday for the st udents, and we, along with the teachers cleaned each and every classes inorder to ensure hygiene of the students as the school functioned as relief camp on the days of fllod.

On heavy rain, the Head Mistress of St. Johns Hss hosted the flag. We distributed sweets among the students. Due to heavy rain, the HM dispersed the students without conducting further programmes.

As part of Independance day, we conducted an elocution competition for HS students and 12 students from various classes participated in the competition. Nithin Josh Zakariah from 10.B and Kaesiya Soosan Cheriyan from 10.A won the first prize and John from 9H won the second prize.

on aug 12, 2018, the JBMCT family had a get together. The Manager of MSM instituitions, Sri. Pk Hilal Babu sir inaugurated the function. The afternoon session was colorful with various programmes, like dance, song , games etc.

We placed a noticeboard in the school and published a "St. Johns weekly" containing main events happened in aweek. It also bears a question, each day from newspaper, and a box placed to put the answer. Those students who answered correctly were given prizes each day.

We had conducted a short story writing and essay writing competition for highschool students on 25 th of July and a total of 32 students participated in the competition.The topic for essay writing and short story writing was 'Internet-bane or boon?' and 'Waiting!' respectively.

The first experience at school was really amazing.It seems a really great thing to be respected by the students.I couldn't get the class on the first day, as my class was on the first period everyday and there was assembly on the day. We, 7 members from various options are in the school, St .John's HSS, Mattam.
